Born into humble beginnings, I was taught to respect the value of hard work from a very young age. I earned my own way through medical school, started a business, and spent my career as an orthopedic surgeon providing specialty care exclusively for injured workers.
My parents believed that America is the land of opportunity, and that I could do anything that I put my mind to and was willing to work for. Due to the increasingly misguided priorities of career politicians, that reality is quickly fading out of reach for our children and grandchildren.
A failing public school system, rising crime, homelessness, and spiraling inflation are growing burdens for Oregon’s working families. Endlessly increasing taxes and excessive regulations have prevented the growth of small businesses and stifled the economic growth needed to relieve these pressures.
At a time when our nation is facing unprecedented challenges, many Oregonians do not feel their voices are being heard in Washington, DC. I pledge, that as your Congressman, I will apply all my energy and skills to making the needs of every Oregon family, community and business known in the US Congress.
I will fight every day for commonsense solutions that make the 5th district a more prosperous place to live.
Oregon is my home. I’m running for Congress to ensure that future generations have the same opportunities as the ones before. I hope you’ll join me.
